A key ingredient contained in some of our products is Jamaican Pimento (Allspice). Pimento was first discovered in Jamaica and is indigenous to the Caribbean and Central America. Jamaican Pimento is considered superior to product grown elsewhere
Dried Spices
due to it’s higher oil content resulting in a richer more aromatic flavour. Pimento, is a very important condiment in Jamaican cuisine, especially Jerk and Escovitch but may also be employed in other local dishes such as stews and curries.
